This weekend’s preview for the upcoming England Premier League football including my predictions for the games.
I had a good week for profit and wins until the Tuesday and Wednesday Premier Leagues games, I thought Crystal Palace would have been good for a draw vs Manchester United, but got that one very wrong.
Hopefully this weekends Premier League games will be better luck.
Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Spurs meet an Arsenal side who trashed AFC Bournemouth 5-1 on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur come into the game on the back of a 2-0 away defeat to Chelsea and this looks to be a tough game for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
With both sides fairly similarly matched, I am going with a score draw as I don’t think Tottenham will want to lose this game.
AFC Bournemouth v Manchester City
AFC Bournemouth host high flying Manchester City this Saturday at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth will want to put their heavy 5-1 defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday behind them, however they face another tough challenge from Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are just one point below Premier League leaders Liverpool on 68 points and a win would see them leap frog The Reds into first place.
Personally I can’t see anything other than an away win for Manchester City here. Playing it even safer I would take City to win or draw double chance with Paddy Power.
Prediction: MANCHESTER CITY
Brighton & Hove Albion v Huddersfield Town
Brighton & Hove Albion face Huddersfield Town this Saturday at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton come into this game on the back of a 2-1 away defeat to Leicester City as new manager Brendan Rodgers watched his side win from the stand.
Huddersfield Town managed to clinch a vital 1-0 home win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening, thanks to a late goal from Steve Mounie.
Huddersfield Town need to gain vital points if they are to survive the drop, so I can see a potential resurgence in form and confidence after their late win to Wolves and hopefully another three points.
Prediction: HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
Burnley v Crystal Palace
Burnley’s unbeaten eight game run came to an end on Tuesday night as Newcastle United ran out 2-0 winners in their Premier League clash.
Sean Dyche’s side face Crystal Palce this Saturday at Turf Moor in more Premier League football action.
Crystal Palace also come into this game on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at Selhurst Park and Roy Hodgson’s men been unbeaten in six games in all competitions prior to the loss.
With both teams in similar form and coming into the game on the back of defeats, I am going with a goalless draw.
Manchester United v Southampton
Manchester United ran out 3-1 winners on Wednesday evening in their away win over Crystal Palace with two goals from Romelu Lukaku and one from Ashley Young. Joel Ward scoring for Crystal Palace.
This Saturday they take on Southampton who come into this game on the back of a 2-0 win over Fulham on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Oriol Romeu’s and James Ward-Prowse. With the win Southampton moved out of the relegtion zone and are in 17th place with 27 points.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s Manchester United side are currently 5th in the Premier League table with 55 points just one below 4th placed rivals Arsenal and he will be wanting his team to keep the pressure up on the top 4 sides.
Whilst Southampton had a good 2-0 win vs Fulham on Wednesday, Manchester United are a whole different class and I can’t see anything other than a comfortable home win for Manchester United.
Prediction: MANCHESTER UNITED
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Cardiff City
Wolves meet Cardiff City this Saturday at the Molineux Stadium for more Premier League football.
Wolves had been on a good run prior to a late goal from Huddersfield Town’s Steven Mounie clinching all these points for Jan Siewert’s side.
A point for Wolves would have seen Nuno Espirito Santo side’s achieve their highest points total in a Premier League season, a feat they can of course still achieve in their remaining games.
Cardiff City suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat as Everton ended their run of three successive Premier League defeats. Neil Warnock’s relegation threatened Cardiff side currently sit 28th in the Premier League with 25 points to date.
Wolves have been in good form this season surprising many, however Cardiff City shouldn’t be written off yet and I think the game will finish a score draw.
West Ham United v Newcastle United
West Ham United host Newcastle United this Saturday at the London Stadium for their Premier League clash.
It took a 59th minute penalty for Manchester City to see off a well-organized Hammers 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
Newcastle United currently sit 28th in the Premier League table with 31 points and come into the game on the back of a 2-0 home win over Burnley on Tuesday, with goals from Fabian Schar and Sean Longstaff.
Rafael Benitez’s side have won four in six league games and I can see them getting a win against West Ham United here also.
To play it safe I am going with a large stake on Newcastle United to win or draw, double chance.
Prediction: NEWCASTLE UNITED TO WIN OR DRAW – DOUBLE CHANCE
