Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday at Stamford Bridge for their Premier League clash.
Chelsea will have to put their disappointing loss in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday against Manchester City behind them as they went out 4-3 on penalities.
Manager Maurizio Sarri was left raging after goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga refused orders to be substituted, shortly before his side exited the league cup final to Manchester City.
Tottenham Hotspur come into their match against Chelsea on the back of a 2-1 away defeat to Burnley on Saturday. Harry Kane managing to get on the scoresheet, but Spurs didn’t have enough to get the draw.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently sit third in the Premier League table with 60 points, just five points below second place Manchester City. A win against Chelsea would shorten that gap if City are to take nothing from their home game to West Ham United also on Wednesday.
I managed to secure some decent profit at the weekend from Burnleys surprise win against Spurs, which will give me some good starting capital for this week’s football. Most tipsters from what I had seen were confident of another Tottenham Hotspur win, but I had a feeling Burnley would manage to get something from the game.
I should have gone with a very large stake on Burnley to win or draw also for even more cover/profit, but with how many tips were going against Burnley I didn’t have the confidence.
This should be a very entertaining game and it’s the one I’m most looking forward too from Wednesday’s picks. I think it will be a very tight game with few goals, so I am going with a 1-0 Chelsea home win.
I also have a few players from both sides in my Football Index portfolio, so as always hoping for potential dividends and in-play goal and assist bonus potentially from the likes of Son Heung-Min and others.
