Football Index – Weekly Buys/Sells – 11/12/2018

This months update on my Football Index trading adventure and it has been a rollercoaster month so far.

December Portfolio Update

Football Index Portfolio

Made some good profit on Dijon attacking midfielder Kwon Chang-hoon who is recently back in training and is making steps towards returning to action around January.

Around £31.42 profit I made on that trade from about £60 invested if I remember correctly.

Decided that I would take advantage of the dip in price of Eintract Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic who has become a fans favorite this season and has netted ten goals so far this campaign, making him top scorer in the Bundesliga.

I purchased 36 futures at £4.34 which makes Luka Jovic my biggest holding and most expensive player currently.

I usually stick to the cheaper players, but thought I would invest in one of the top 200 players in the hope of some dividends and with January transfer speculation just around the corner, Jovic could well be linked to a number of clubs.  Plus the share split should help the mid priced players also I am hoping.

With the Europa League this week and Bundesliga games, there is always potential for some goal + assist dividend bonus also with Jovic.

I thought I would try to diversify my strategy slightly and invest in some younger prospects and decided to go with Tahith Chong of Manchester United.

Chong made the bench last month in Manchester United’s Champions League win over Juventus.  Purchased 50 futures in Chong at £1.95.

One of my strategies so far for making some quick profit to invest in other players has been investing in the cheaper £0.30 range players and then selling around £0.35-40 pence.

However, this week has seen a change in the lower end market, with players rising 5-10 pence only to come crashing back down to their original prices moments later.

I was very tempted to get on Mohamed Salah during the week when he dipped in price massively from £10.80 to around £10.00.

Quite a few friends managed to convince me that Salah was over-priced and not worth it, then he goes and scores a hatrick at the weekend v AFC Bournemouth, seeing his price shoot back up to £10.60 in the space of days.

Missed out on what could have been good profit plus some nice bonus dividends/media buzz.  Moral of trading is always go with your gut instinct.

Overall it has been another enjoyable month of trading on Football Index and so far I am enjoying my experience far more than traditional sports betting.

With the added bonus of in-play goal/assist dividends I am diverting my investment money more and more these days towards Football Index, than traditional sports betting.
